Bree's Banana Bars

One of my first recipes that won the heart of friends and family ;)
Ingredients
  • 1½ c raw organic sugar
  • ½ c butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 c whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • Frosting:
  • ¼ c butter
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened (half a package of cream cheese)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ - 2 c powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cream sugar and butter in medium bowl. Beat in eggs.
  3. Add bananas and vanilla and mix well.
  4. Add flour, baking soda and salt, and mix until well combined. Pour into greased 9 X 13 inch baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes, (until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean).
  5. Let cool before adding frosting.
  6. Frosting:
  7. Cream together butter, cream cheese, and vanilla. Add powdered sugar in batches, and mix until smooth.
  8. Spread over bars when they have cooled.
  9. Enjoy.
