Hi friends!!
What a weekend. I spent most of the day moving on Saturday and realized that I have way too much stuff, but yet I can’t seem to part with most of it. I did make a nice pile of stuff to get rid of though.
After our adventures in moving, Marc and I started our gift registry for our wedding. I thought it would take a couple of hours tops and would be so much fun, but boy was I wrong. We spent almost two hours at Target and didn’t even finish. We were exhausted from moving, and thank goodness it was so late and the store was closing, because it was overwhelming.
Sunday after church Marc and I decided we would finish our registry, but once again we spent almost 3 hours at Bed, Bath and Beyond and weren’t even close to finishing. When you are Type A personality, like myself, it takes a while to pick the perfect dinnerware set and bedspread (and everything else poor Marc). And we did it without grabbing lunch first, so we were hungry and starting to get moody. Hopefully we finish tomorrow.
After our long gift registry adventure, we had a great lunch at the Main Market Coop,. I love that place. I love supporting the local farmers. Marc and I both enjoyed a great GF veggie sandwich.
So delicious!! And Marc and I decided we earned a treat for all our hard work the last couple of days, so we got a cinnamon roll the size of my face.
Then we headed to my sisters for our traditional Sunday bonding time. On the menu for our Sunday fun was basketball.
Now let me just say I wasn’t blessed with athletic talent in any sport but running. My siblings on the hand are amazing at everything, in fact, my younger sister plays college ball. Don’t believe me, check out my form….
Then my older sisters….
So you can imagine how I did that day. I spent most of my time following my nephew Micah around.
Who ran off with Marc’s car keys.
He was also a great spectator with me and great company. Can’t help but smile looking at his adorable face.
After playing a game of HORSE with the crew and losing, I decided to sit out because it got a little too intense for me.
Here’s the talented crew
Cassie and I showed some sisterly love after the madness on the court.
And I showed some love to my one and only after I was ruthless in my defense against him 😉
We had a great time and it was a Sunday afternoon well spent. Next weekend Marc and I are making them run with us, since I endured basketball. This is what Cassie thinks of that…
I am so proud of her and all the running she’s been doing. I helped motivate her yesterday on her run, by meeting her at different points in our runs and telling her where to meet me next. She is doing great. Ever since having Micah she has been trying to get back into the shape she was once in and it can be discouraging for her at times.
My running is going slowly, but I am trying to stay healthy for Ragnar Relay in June.
How was your memorial weekend? Any basketball fans?
