Hi from Montana, The Big Sky State!!
Sorry it’s been so long since I checked in. I got busy moving Wednesday and was in a mad dash to finish as much as possible before I left town on Saturday morning, while staying caught up with my Master classes and at work. I am enjoying a break from the colossal mess of my apartment and work, to bad I can’t escape school….
I am back in my hometown until Thursday and had two showers to be blessed with already since being back. It feels like I have been here a few more days than I have, with all the excitement that’s happened.
We left mid morning Saturday to get back home in time for my sister shower my mom’s best friend wanted to throw me. She had a vision of a shower for just the sisters and my mom, and asked if I would be available for one. I was honored and said yes, and I am glad I did. It was such a blessing and much needed.
We arrived and were immediately welcomed coming down the drive. Susie, my mom’s great friend who is more like family, had us meet under “her big tree” where she had a tables set up.
She did an amazing job decorating. Loved all the detail and the bird theme, since I will be leaving my “nest” to make a “nest” of my own.
My sister loved being Vanna White.
Each place setting had their own bird and hanker chief to take, and had each sister and my mom in mind. Of course I had the something blue hanker chief.
We dived into the great food, all gluten-free with a coconut crusted stawberry cream cake for dessert. Delish. Susie is an amazing cook!! Each sister was asked to bring a memory they had of me and them, and words of wisdom. They wrote me letters and gave me pictures, which I was told to put in my memory box Susie gave me (which you can see in the above photos on the dining table).
My mom wrote me a letter she read to me and then gave me a very vintage purse given to her by her dear friend that died years ago. I knew how much the purse meant to her, and I was so honored she gave it to me. It’s to put my dreams, prayers, and Words from God in. I was told to share words of wisdom from my mom and what she has taught me, which is more than she’ll ever no There were tears shed and lots of laughter. It was all very special and forever cherished.
My little sister Mariah, Mom, Me, Sister-in-love Megan and older sister Cassie oh and Micah’s little head (of course he was invited) and my memory box
This was our great hostess, Susie.
I felt so honored and was so glad to have a time with just my family and my new sister-in-love Megan, especially since life gets so busy and we forget sometimes what really matters in life. The girls ended the evening with a pray for me, and encouraged me to enjoy my engagement and every step towards marriage and a new life. I couldn’t have asked for a better evening with my dear sisters, and my new sister and my mother.
Received words to live by in my marriage:
Love it!!
Sunday late afternoon, I had my bridal shower with my family and friends. My mom’s friends asked to be the hostesses. They threw me a Tea Party!! They know me too well. I love tea.
They had many different teas to chose from and lots of sweet treats and fruits to munch on. I loved my mom’s friend Cindy K’s coconut macaroons. Amazing!!
We all relaxed with tea and treats and enjoyed each other’s company. I loved seeing family I hadn’t seen in a while and visiting with community members.
I got photos with my cousins and sisters.
With my sister Mariah, cousin Lindsay and sister Cassie.
My sisters, mom and I

My beautiful mom and I
And my great aunts on my dad’s side, who don’t miss a shower, wedding, or graduation wanted some photos. They are adorable.
I received many great gifts from my Kitchenaide some of the bridal party and hostesses got me, a caner, a whole china set from my mom, and lots of new kitchen accessories and decorative pieces for Marc and I’s new apartment. I can’t wait to get it all set up so I can post some pictures.
Each guest brought me their favorite bag of tea and made me a tea jar. Now I have lots of new teas to try and share. I also received some gorgeous tea cups and a tea pot from my great aunts and aunt. I am excited to use them for hosting my own tea party.
Finally, meet my amazing hostesses:
Susie (who also did my sister shower), Cindy K., Cindy B., and Leonida
They know how to honor a bride and the family. I was blessed beyond measure and just delighted to see everyone there coming to celebrate with me. Special thanks to all of them!!
It is so great being home. My wedding is becoming more and more real every day!! I can’t wait. Only 39 days away now. Can’t believe it.
How was your weekend spent? What’s your fondest memory from your bridal shower(s)?

So pretty… the scenery, the decorations, the tea sets, and you with your sisters. Just looks like a fabulously elegant party!
