The Honeymoon Begins

October 21, 2013 Bryanna

Happy Monday Friends!!

Although the weather has been great here in the Inland Northwest, I am do for a nice sunny and warm vacation. I am talking about 80 degrees warm!! Marc and I are leaving for our honeymoon in a couple of hours!! We are heading to Jamaica mahn!!

This is my first time to the beach that actually has warm water. The closest thing to ocean I have been to is the Oregon coast and Seattle. Don’t get me wrong beautiful places, but the water isn’t exactly warm. From the pictures I have seen of the Caribbean, it looks close to paradise!! 😉 And I can’t wait to visit the place Bob Marley grew up in. I love Bob Marley’s music!! Fun fact about me.

Here’s my version of beach!! (and this is a lake)

I don’t think I will be disappointed.

With one big suitcases and two carry on bags, Marc and I are pretty much packed and ready to go. And if I were to be honest, the big suitcase pretty much holds all my stuff. I don’t travel lightly. You just might need a bathing suit for every day of the week. 😉 Here’s some essentials anyone should bring on their honeymoon at the beach:

  • Beach towels
  • sunscreen
  • bathingsuits / swim trunks
  • Swim covers
  • Tanks and shorts
  • Cute sun dresses
  • Flip flops / sandals
  • Nice pants and tops (for him)
  • Light sweaters (for night time dining)
  • walking shoes (if you plan on touring around)
  • Books
  • Running apparel (you didn’t think I would skip running on my honeymoon did you??)
  • Aloe Vera / lotions

We are staying at an all inclusive resort and again the views and rooms look amazing. We have the biggest swimming pool in Jamaica right in our hotel. We plan to do a tour of Jamaica getting to see the local farms and schools and try the exotic fruits one day and zip lining the next day!! I definitely plan on coming home with sun kissed skin!! Stay warm back at home!! I will be posting some great pictures via Instagram, twitter, and Facebook. I do have some posts planned as well!! Don’t worry I was thinking of you all!!

This is Marc and I’s first real vacation together!! And definitely the first as a married couple. I can’t wait to spend some vacation time with my man. I can’t wait for Jamaica!! I may never want to come back home…..

XOXOXO, Mrs. Petrie
