Happy Monday Friends!!
I hope you all had a great weekend. My dad and aunt left this morning to go back home, but my mom is still in town until the end of the week. She is helping my older sister adjust to having a toddler and newborn.
Marc and I spent most of our weekend with family and loving on little Gabe and Micah. Oh and we were able to start our baby registry. The last week was a blur for sure.
On Saturday I wanted a new running scenery, so Marc and went to Riverside State Park. We started at the Military Cemetary entrance, so it was only a short 20 minute drive. I slept in later than usual for a Saturday, so we left the house shortly after 7:00 a.m. It was already sunny and warm, but there was a nice cool breeze.
Instead of doing the trails, we stayed on the Centennial Trail, a paved trail, so Marc could ride my road bike alongside me. He is still resting his ankle and trying to get it strong again for the Missoula Marathon in a couple of weeks.
I wanted to do 16 miles, but wasn’t sure if I would feel good through 16 miles, since my previous runs in the week were so hard. Surprisingly it felt great, until the last 5 miles. The hills caught up to me by the end of the run. It’s rolling hills the entire run, with a major hill right before getting back to the car at our trail entrance.
The sun and warming temps didn’t make the run any easier. I have to say running while pregnant hasn’t been easy for me. I did enjoy Marc’s company and the great views of the Spokane River though.
After the run we headed to the Farmers Market, and I gave into the temptation of a cinnamon roll from an organic bakery (Marc did too).
My mom and I worked on getting food ready for a barbecue out at my sisters with her in-laws and some friends later that afternoon. We did chicken and veggie kabobs, barbecue chicken, pasta salad, watermelon and some great desserts. It was simple but loads of fun.
I spent most of my time holding little Gabe and playing by the pool with Micah.
There’s nothing better than spending time with family and enjoying the sunshine. We had beautiful weather this weekend. Sunday my mom and I lounged by the pool, while the babies slept and the boys went golfing. It was nice to spend time with my big sister and mom.
Our summer is off to a busy start. Marc and I are volunteering at the Coeur d’Alene Ironman on Sunday the 29th. We are excited. It’s my first time volunteering at an ironman and it’s been a long time since volunteering at a race.
Here’s my most recent bump update from Friday at 22 weeks.
Feeling good, just tired. But I had a week with little sleep since I had my nephew. Our little girl loves moving around, and we can now see her move, which kind of creeps Marc out. His reactions are funny.
Happy Running and Sun Soaking!!
Until Next Time Be Whole and Be Fit

Looks like your baby girl is going to have fun with her cousins! I love the little Seahawks hat! And congrats on getting in 16 miles pregnant! 16 miles is my long run this week and I’m nervous about it and definitely not running for two!

Lindsay you’ll do great. Just take it nice and easy. Choosing a great route helps too!!
Kristin, I am excited to have family near by. Some days the running is easy, but other days it is so much harder. It’s definitely easier when you aren’t running for two!!

It looks like you had a great time with your family! How nice that your sister has children that will be around your little girl’s age… they will have fun growing up together! Amazing that you ran 16 miles, it seems like you are doing really well with the pregnancy and running, I’m so impressed! I’m sure the baby moving around would freak my husband out too, lol.
