We are hitting more milestones with Miss R and I can’t help but get emotional. 9 months flew by. It almost doesn’t feel possible that we are already here. If someone figures out how to slow down time, I would gladly like to know the trick 😉
Miss R,
You are now 9 months. I feel your growth has slowed some, but yet you are losing all your baby chub and looking less and less like a baby. It’s bittersweet.
I love our moments in the morning together. You are always so excited to see me, and you babble to me, almost as if you’re telling me your dreams. There’s nothing better than morning snuggles with you sometimes. I love your smiles, giggles and faces. You are all about making faces now. I love how you try to mimic daddy and I’s faces and sometimes sounds.
You babble a lot before bed and before your naps and to your toys. I feel you could talk for hours to them. It makes me smile. Sometimes daddy and I watch you in your crib as you talk to your stuffy’s, with your feet sticking straight in the air.Â
Nowadays you sleep on your side, with your blanket close to your face, sucking your thumb. It’s hard not to watch you sleep. If I didn’t have so much to do in a day, I would do it more often.
You are now in the 40th percentile for weight and 70th for height. You love to sit and play with your toys, and watch your cousins. You scoot all over the place and you love swimming!! Oh my gosh do you love swimming. You caught on quite fast. You kick your legs and move your arms and try so hard to swim to your toy. It made me so happy to see you enjoying yourself. You literally kick your legs and smile and start your happy screams whenever we arrive at the pool. I think you drink more pool water than anyone I know.
R your diet is very diverse now. You eat beets and peas like crazy, and now love peaches. You’ll eat anything we put in front of you. I am going to have fun cooking for you sweet thing 😉 You enjoy feeding yourself, and you can get upset if your food is served fast enough. I have to feed you while making your breakfast, lunch or dinner. We pack snacks every where we go.Â
Your third tooth is ever so slowly popping through. I wish it would just do it already, for everyone’s sake. I do think the amber necklace is working for you though. I hope it is helping with the pain
We have been visiting lakes and pools so you can put your swimming legs to work. It’s always fun. You’ve been mom’s best cheerleader at her races lately, and so patient with me. Thank you baby girl.
You still sleep pretty consistently, and take your naps, and you still need your naps. You have quite the personality missy. Thanks for the continuous smiles and cheesy grins. It’s like you always know how to smile. You make cheesy grins whenever I pull out my phone. Catching on little girl.
Miss R you are a curious little one. You are always watching others, and wanting to know where noises are coming from. Feeding you is nearly impossible when we are in public. You are constantly trying to pull the breast cover off so you can see all around you.
I love you baby girl. Keep on swimming strong and babbling to those toys and everyone else. Everyday I love you more and more, so much that at times I want to squeeze you. I love you to life sweet one.
Love, Mom
