Happy Sunday Funday!!
Sorry it’s been so long before checking in. I had a busy weekend, but yet it felt so relaxing and I felt like I didn’t get much accomplished.
I woke up on Saturday morning and did one of my last long training runs before the Ragnar Relay. I did 22 miles while my sister rode her bike next to me. We started in Liberty Lake where she lives. She only lives a mile and a half from the Centennial trail. I felt bad she had to go much slower, but she was great company. It was warm and sunny. She would ride ahead at times to get more of a workout. Marc picked us up downtown and took us back to shower and get ready for the day. I included some of my split times below:
Splits:
- Mile 1: 7:23
- Mile 2: 7:26
- Mile 3: 7:24
- Mile 4: 7:18
- Mile 10: 7:30
- Mile 11: 7:18
- Mile 12: 7:21
- Mile 13: 7:23
- Mile 14: 7:18
- Mile 15: 7:20
- Mile 20: 7:24
- Mile 21: 8:13 (I was talking to Marc on the phone here and I think I got a little distracted)
- Mile 22: 7:30
Total time: 2:44:36
After the run smoothies were in order:
They always hit the sport after my long runs.
Then it was time for the lake.
I love relaxing on the beach at the lake and soaking up some rays. I am blessed to live so close to so many lakes. My sister is just 4 miles from Liberty Lake, which is where we spent most of the day.
Micah enjoyed his lake time as well.
And I enjoyed my sun time with my fiance.
I also got my compression socks from LunatikAthletiks on Friday.
They were sent because of my participation in the Ragnar Relay, Wasatch Back. I wore them around after the lake and slept in them, and I loved them. I love the funky colors!!
Sunday morning I woke up to do the Spokane Title 9K.
It was the first annual Title 9k. I wasn’t planning on doing it, but a friend couldn’t make it because she went out of town last minute. She asked me to take her number, and I couldn’t resist (not entirely legal 😉 ).
The race was fun, but after doing 22 miles the day before, my legs were heavy and definitely not fresh.
I made it through though, and Marc came to watch and grab some photos. I am glad it was a short race. I actually got 4th place over all. It’s an all girls race and the running group was so friendly, and I was thankful for Marc grabbing photos and being there for me!!
Marc is always a great supporter!! He ran on the Centennial trail to the beginning of the race downtown in Riverfront Park.
Splits:
- Mile 1: 6:28
- Mile 2: 6:38
- Mile 3: 6:52
- Mile 4: 6:49
- Mile 5: 6:35
- last .78 mile: 5:14
Total Time: 38:35
After the race we headed to my sister’s house to spend the day hanging out, eating pizza, and eventually playing some b-ball again. In fact we are heading out soon here!!
How was your weekend spent? Any races or vitamin D time?
