Happy Sunday Funday!!
Since we received all the photos from or photographer right before Christmas, I am finally getting back the recaps of our wedding day. It has been lots of fun going through all the photos and making our wedding album, which should arrive sometime next week (by Thursday to be exact).
Going through the pictures brings me back to that day and all the excitement and nerves come rushing back. I love reliving the day through the photos. It was definitely a fast paced day. If there was one thing I could have changed about that day it would have been to slow it down.
I decided to start the posts in chronological order of the day, seems the most organized approach. These posts are going to be made up of mostly photos with commentary where needed. It’s hard to express in words all the feelings and emotions of the day. I wouldn’t know where to begin.
Getting ready at the Salon on the morning of The Best Day of My Life:
My friend and old roommate, Rachel did my hair. We did two trial runs and the finishing product was amazing. I think this was the more relaxed part of the day, until the reception came around.
I surprisingly felt great at this point. Everyone was on schedule and the rain was starting to slow. Since it was an outdoor wedding, rain wasn’t exactly a blessing for me.
Before I knew it it was time to leave the salon and head to the ceremony and reception site. Rachel would come to the wedding early to do some touchups.
My Co-Pilots:
Megan (sister-in-love), Hannah (best friend from high school), Mariah (younger sis), Me, Cassie (my older sister who loves to make things fun, hence the hand on the butt), Anne Marie (best friend from college) and Skye (best friend from college)
The Dress:
I found my dress at one bridal shop and ordered through Mossutos because it was cheaper there, and Mary was much sweeter. We loved her. My mom and dad picked out the dress. My poor dad was dragged to numerous bridal shops, but was such a trooper. He actually has great taste!!
All of us girls were running around trying to find a million different things and get ready for photos. I was trying to stay relaxed, but being a Type A personality doesn’t help. I kept de-stressing by tidying our dressing room.
The Makeup:
My mom did my makeup for the day, while my older sister, Matron of Honor, performed her duties of calming my fears.
Getting Dressed:
My older sis’ loves to be mildly inappropriate!!
We forgot to put the slip on before so it was a lovely task. This was the only way to do it without messing the hair.
The Groom Getting Reading:
It always seems the guys are much more relaxed.
The guys played table football and took it easy.
Our Love Letters:
Marc and I wrote letters to each other. We waited until the day of the wedding to read them before our first look.
What a great day!! I was so thankful for all the help and support on that day. My bridesmaids, mother, family and friends helped make it so much more stress free.
Stay tuned for more wedding related updates!! I can’t wait to show you the Bride and Groom photos.
Hope you have a great weekend and got some miles in!!
Until next time Be whole and Be Fit
