I write daily to my daughter and to this new little one brewing, but I also wrote R a letter for her baby book. I wanted to do the same for little man and thought I would share it here.
This pregnancy has been different in so many ways, even in it’s similarities. I have struggled much more physically with this pregnancy, and with different emotions than I had with my first pregnancy. Every day I am growing more and more anxious for this little one to arrive for various reasons. From the pain I am experiencing to just wanting to hold him in my arms. I am trusting God has that perfect day picked and will provide me with the strength I need to endure labor.
Now for the letter:
“My Dearest Son,
How I long to hold you and see you. The past months have been a blessing, as we have shared a special bond and I have been your place of growth and rest. Soon you will find a new place to grow, rest and play, and I pray this place will nurture you and teach you.
It is only a few short weeks before I can finally give you kisses and hold you close. We have been impatiently waiting, but preparing for your arrival. You are blessed to be arriving to our first home of our own. Thank your wonderful daddy for working so hard to buy us our first house of our own.
My hearts desire is to see you grow into a Godly man, seeking God’s truth, wisdom and His Word on a daily basis. I pray you grow to understand His truth and His ways, and not be persuaded by the ways of our culture or perverted by culture.
Young man, there will be many times you will be tempted and challenged, by friends, family and culture, but if you are grounded in His truth and you know His Word, you will not stumble or falter. I pray your faith is strong and you always remember His Love. He has a destiny for you, a call on your life and the challenges will be worth it. Don’t give up my son, because you’ll miss out on His great promises if you do.
Love others wholeheartedly, being compassionate towards others, walking humbly. Have integrity, respect and honor towards everyone.
I love you more than I’ll ever be able to put into words and you’ll ever know. I love you so much now, and I already know this love will continue to grow. Always remember my love for you. I will pray for you, be your best fan and supporter, and will always be here to encourage and instruct you.
You are an amazing young man. Your talents will be used to help so many others and will be used for His Kingdom’s purposes. Be a light in this world. A strong voice and leader. Set yourself apart from this world, and God will set you on high places.
Protect those close to you, especially your big sister and if ever, your little siblings. You have been called to great things, and it is my prayer you will answer the call on your life. That you will grow into the man of God you are to be, and you will do everything to glorify His name.
My life has already been blessed with you. You are our precious gift, a gift we prayed for, for months. You have an amazing Heavenly Father and an amazing father to be your leaders and role models, so I am certain you have the best teachers.
No matter where your life’s journey takes you, I will always be praying for you and loving you. In the times you may stumble, my love for you will always be here. I hope you always remember the bible stories I have already shared with you and the words of affirmations already spoken over you. That you always remember how strong, courageous, brave, honorable and humble you are.
Thank you my son for blessing my life and filling it with so much more joy. You’ve already taught me so much more about God’s wonderful grace and love. We are excited to see the places God will take you, the mountains you will climb, and the high places you will rise to.
Love Your Mother,
Bryanna“
