Hello All!!
I will admit, I have been slacking with my devotions lately. I was doing great, and then “busy” caught up to me. Good thing we serve a Mighty, Gracious, forgiving, loving God, who doesn’t keep track of our faults.
I wanted to share a scripture that has been my inspiration for the past couple of months. I have read the scripture many times, but it’s funny how the same scripture can speak to you in different ways, every time you read it.
Jeremiah 33:3 says: “Call to Me and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
Love it!! It’s so true. It’s great to know that when we call out to our Heavenly Father, He answer’s us. Sometimes it may not be the answer we were expecting or looking for, but His answer is always want we need.
I have learned to go to Him with every decision I make. I want to see great and mighty things beyond what I can comprehend. His plan for me is much greater than I could ever imagine.
We are all called to do great and might things, and our great and mighty is no less than anyone else’s. We all have unique gifts and talents, which aren’t any less than anyone else’s.
I think at times we compare ourselves to others, and this sets us up for disaster. Our purpose/destiny in life, isn’t going to be the same purpose as someone else’s, because we are all unique.
I have learned to be content and happy with what I have now and who I am now. I know this stage in my life is only for a season. Grad school is only for a season. Comparing ourselves to others only brings more discontentment, and I have far too much to be thankful for.
We are all blessed more than we may actually think at times and we all have so much to be thankful for.
I am excited for my great and mighty!! With Boston 6 days and 3 runs away (but who’s counting), this scripture speaks so much to me. I hope to be great and mighty at Boston. I will definitely be calling out to God when the race gets rough. He’s helped me through so many races before, I know I won’t be disappointed.
What’s inspiring you today?
