Happy Monday!!
I thought I would share some random thoughts and pictures from the past week and this weekend.
School
I finished one of my courses for my masters program in Human Nutrition. Now I only have one more left and I am home free!! My last course ends December 5th. I then will only have a final test to take. The test date is not until April 2015 though. I couldn’t meet the November date, because of baby girl being born and I didn’t want to stress myself out with studying. It seriously is so relieving being done with one course and knowing I only have 2 weeks left in another.
Going to school with a baby at home isn’t entirely easy. I don’t know how I have survived the past month. Although, she was a great helper 😉
Shopping
We went to the mall for the first time as a family. One thing I don’t miss about the holidays is the crowds at the stores. It’s already so crazy!! Baby girl had enough and was out within 10 minutes of shopping.
I did get all my November birthdays and December birthdays done, with a little Christmas shopping.
Baby Girl
Baby R turned 4 weeks old yesterday. We spent the day seeing old friends who were in town and then had a sleepover with my sister’s family. It’s been a while since I have had a sleepover with the nephews, and now I come with another little person to add to the fun.
We enjoyed some football and a movie with popcorn.
Morning Runs with the Hubby
Since we stayed over at my sisters, Marc and I could actually go for a run together this morning. Since having baby girl we don’t get to run with each other. It’s been too cold to take the baby out, way too cold. Hopefully it will be warm for our Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving, because we plan to all join the fun this year!!
I enjoyed the run with Marc and loved being able to have our random conversations and we enjoyed the warmer temps….when I say warmer I mean 16 degrees with feels like 9 degrees. Although, it felt much warmer than 9 degrees. My hands didn’t go numb and the sun was shining.
Kids on the Floor
While my sister and her hubby took their car to the mechanic, Marc and I had kid duty. We enjoyed some floor time while watching Veggie Tales. Let’s just say it’s hard to take photos of squirming kids especially when ones 4 weeks, another 5 months and another 2 1/2 years old.
We had fun this morning though. I love cuddling with my nephews.
Avocado On Toast
This is my new favorite breakfast. I toast some sprouted bread or GF bread, slather with coconut oil, top with 1/2 an avocado, sprinkle some hemp seeds, drizzle honey and then stuff my face. It’s simply amazing!!
You could add an egg on top if you’re an egg lover. Or simply just have the avocado without the honey. I do recommend trying avocado and honey though. I am glad I took the plunge and tried my weird craving. It was definitely worth the risk.
Perfect source of healthy fats from the avocado, fiber and fat from the hemp seeds and enzymes from the honey.
I hope you enjoy your Monday!!
Until Next Time Be Whole and Be Fit
What randomness filled your weekend and week?

Glad to hear that you and Marc got a baby free run in– you need those, yes? Can’t believe R is 4 weeks old– how did that happen? She is so precious and I bet she loves hanging out with her cousins.
