Happy Friday friends & family!!
I (Bryanna) sometimes laugh at all those memes of the weekend and looking forward to the weekend, because as a mom, it’s really no different than the rest of the week. The only difference may be your husband is home to help wrangle the kids, but weekends don’t equal relaxation for most moms, at least not this one.
But I don’t complain, because we have a rewarding job. This particular weekend is a special one with Mother’s Day, so don’t forget that special mom or moms in your life!! They deserve to be blessed, I know this now more than ever hahahaha 😉
Also, this particular weekend will be especially busy as our family transitions to a new season in our lives……
You may have seen on Instagram or Facebook, as I posted earlier this week our family is (I am speaking for myself, Bryanna and my family, so there’s no confusion) moving to Texas. It still feels weird to say that. We are trading our snow boots for cowboy boots!! Being from Montana we already mostly all had cowboy boots, but now I feel we have even more of an excuse to wear them.
Our oldest is excited, but I think she is excited because it’s some place she’s never been and I don’t know if she fully realizes that it means we aren’t coming back to our current home. Our youngest probably has no idea what is going on, just that mom and dad’s stress levels are high and the house has had a lot of foot traffic, as well as boxes starting to pile up and toys and books going missing as they are boxed up.
We have a little over a week before we set sail on a new adventure, so yes, stress levels are a little high, especially with being 28 weeks pregnant and trying to figure out everything, pack, keep the house clean as potential buyers view it. Our house just sold which makes life so much easier, but the past few weeks have been a whirlwind. The clock is ticking, and I am feeling the pressure of getting everything boxed up and ready.
You may be wondering “Why Texas?” and to be honest I am still asking God that same question. We knew we would be moving upon Marc’s graduation (yes he is finally finished with his school), but Texas was not on our radar. We weren’t even looking in Texas, it is safe to say Texas found us. God lead us there and now we are trusting Him to help us transition to Texas. It will be an adjustment as we go from a Northern, mountainous climate, to a flat southern one.
I can’t say moving to a hot, humid & dry place while in my last trimester sounds appealing. God’s grace is sufficient though!! God has us going to Texas for a reason, whether it’s a short season or a long season, we are trusting His plan and will for our lives and I am excited for Marc to pursue his dream and passion. God’s plans are always greater & better than anything we could even imagine, even if it doesn’t seem so in the current moment.
It will be hard leaving family and friends, but we know God will direct us to new great friends as well and that we will be back to visit.
I told myself when I was pregnant with L that I would never move again while pregnant. Well, never say never, because 2 years later we are moving again and guess what, I am pregnant. This time it’s thousands of miles away!!
Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms!!
Until Next Time Be Whole and Be Fit
