It’s Super Bowl Sunday!!
This makes for a crazy time with family. My family is big into sports and very loud, so you can only imagine what it’s like to watch the Super Bowl, especially with Broncos fans (Payton Manning fans) and Seahawk fans. I am going for the Broncos!!
Thanks for the birthday wishes and all the love on my special day. It seemed my birthday celebrations have lasted for a week. I keep receiving gifts and blessings.
I started my birthday with a great run and was greeted with snow. Thursday was my rest day, but I still wanted to start the day with a run so I wouldn’t be a grumpy gills on my birthday.
My co workers at work bought me vegan cupcakes from the only vegan bakery in town. So tasty and I was so grateful.
My parents, older sister and nephew surprised me at work and brought me a orchard.
The other flowers my husband bought me. I love sunflowers and colorful bouquets. If you have any tips on keeping orchards alive please share. I can never seem to keep them alive no matter how hard I try.
After I got off work I met Marc at home and opened my gift from him which was a food dehydrator. So excited for this!!
I can’t wait to make some granola and dry some fruits and veggies.
We had cake at my sisters with my parents and her family. Marc made a vegan carrot cake, my favorite. I will share my recipe later this week!! It’s a hit.
And I enjoyed listening to my family sing me “Happy Birthday” and wrestle with me. They are a little rough with things.
My parents got me some Christmas China and money for my Boston trip for the marathon, with a gift card to Amazon. They know I love books. My older sister got me a Amazon gift card as well.
My younger sister and friend got me these cute booties. I wore them to work the very next day.
I truly was blessed by family and friends.
My mom wanted to go shopping on Saturday. So after Marc and I’s run we got ready for shopping and then dinner. It was a foggy morning and was only 12 degrees so after our run Marc and I looked a little frosty.
I could barely see out of my eyes with all the frost. I was getting quite the looks from everybody. Got 16 miles in on the snowy roads. It made footing more difficult.
We met Marc’s parents for dinner Saturday night along with my parents and sister’s family.
With my mother-in-love and my mom
With my Dad
I was treated to another birthday cake at dinner.
I have to say I haven’t been eating too healthy the past couple of days with all the goodies everyone is making and giving me. That’s what Monday’s are for I guess. Sometimes it’s great to indulge, especially on your birthday.
Hope you have a great Super Bowl and had a great weekend!!
P.S. I Loved having my family in town and I am sad they are leaving tomorrow. Always a blessing to have my parents with me on my birthday.
Be Whole and Be Fit.

Wow! What a wonderful birthday week. You truly are blessed to have so many amazing people in your life. I really love how close your family & inlaws are (or so it seems). I’m in complete shock you and Marc knocked out 16 miles in that weather. Brrrr. Ha Ha!
