Pregnancy Update: 29 Weeks

August 8, 2014 Bryanna

As you know I am off to Montana today after work for a nice weekend at home. I will have my baby shower tomorrow, which I am excited for. Can’t wait to see family and friends. I am not looking forward to 6 hours in the car though.

I am blessed to be riding with my sister and her boys. Traveling with a toddler and an infant should be interesting. Wish us luck!!

Then on Sunday we are off to the lake for a week vacation with my parents and siblings. I can not wait for some relaxation. I will be starting school though during vacation, which kind of stinks. Last semester and then I will have my Masters in Human Nutrition. Woot woot!!

Marc and I plan to do some maternity photos while at the lake too. He’ll meet us all up there with my brother-in-love on Monday. Hopefully we can get some hiking in too!!

Pregnancy Update:

Now we are in the last trimester (started at 28 weeks). It feels so great to know that I am in the final stretch, even though it’s 11 weeks of a final stretch.

at 29 weeks 29 weeks

Bump update at 29 weeks!! (look I own other clothes!!)

Little comparison: On the left me at 15 weeks on the right at 20 weeks

baby bump at 15 weeks bloomsday expo day

bump update at 20 weeks

So I have gone from no bump to bump!!

Symptoms: I am happy to say my pressure isn’t as bad (depending on the day), but I have been experiencing lots of tightness and pain in the belly. This is from it growing. Still have calf cramps, and now getting some back pain on my right side. I have been doing lots of stretches for this. And making use of my yoga ball.

Baby’s Size: She is around 2 1/2 pounds now (or says the pregnancy app), about the size of a butternut squash and 15 inches long. The doctor is always happy with everything (had an appointment yesterday). Her kicks are definitely stronger and she seriously moves like CRAZY!! We’ll do the baby’s growth at my next appointment.

Maternity Clothes: Not wearing maternity clothes, just a size up in shirts and some of my shorts. Still able to wear most of my same clothes.

Belly Button: It’s still trying to poke completely out, lets just say it’s almost there.

Stretch Marks: Same as last time, none so far – Marc has been great about rubbing oil on my stomach and massaging it.

Sleep: It’s too hot here and I can’t sleep, nor can I find a comfortable position to sleep. I usually fall asleep shortly before the alarm goes off.

Miss anything: Running!! I still run, but it’s not the same. Also, miss not having any pain in my stomach & back, and being able to do certain workouts without feeling wiped.

Cravings: Love anything cold!! I crave kombuchas and iced tea alot.

Aversions: Nothing currently, except for Tofu…that just grosses me out. Really it’s hard for me to have much of an appetite. With it being so hot nothing really ever sounds that great, except for sticking my head in the freezer. 😉

Looking Forward to: My baby shower tomorrow in MT. Our crib arrived, so I am excited to put it together and start on baby girls room. Really looking forward to her arrival.

What I’m loving: Cool nights!! They don’t happen very often. And reading bible stories to baby girl every night.

Workouts: Nothing to write home about. Most the time runs are tough. We are on the countdown now though!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!! I will be posting probably less frequently while on vacation, but I will have lots of updates from the shower, lake and maternity photo shoot.

Until Next Time Be Whole and Be Fit

Any weekend plans? Any tips for making summer pregnancy any less hot?
