We have started our vacation at the lake and it couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s nice to enjoy a vacation before the school year begins (well mine is beginning) and all the baby preparation really does start. We will have lots to do in the next few weeks.
I thought I would share the highlights from my shower, mostly in pictures. I was truly blessed by all the great gifts, but most of all with wonderful family and friends celebrating with me. I enjoyed a great morning run on the back roads where I grew up before the shower. I have learned to appreciate the views so much more now.
So much more quiet, and I love the smells!!
My sister-in-love was amazing, doing so much work for my shower, and had set up a great craft area for making headbands with bows for our baby girl. I scored some great hair pieces to help dress her, and I love that they are homemade from family and friends.
I was blessed with great food too!! My aunts had lots of veggies and great dips for us to enjoy, as well as a great Organic Vegan Blueberry Coconut Cake, made from scratch. It was so delicious. I couldn’t resist having two pieces!!
There was the cutest decorations, and all things pink. I think our little girl will definitely be outfitted in enough pink. I have a very creative family as well as friends, who made my day special and worked so hard.
I should have taken pictures of the darling shoes from my mom. My little bean almost has more shoes than me now.
I was blessed with a great BOB Ironman running stroller.
I took it for a spin around the yard, and it’s incredibly lighter than I anticipated, and moves with ease, even on grass. So excited to take our little girl for some runs.
The time and care that goes into a shower is much appreciated, and I was blessed with so much. My little girl is definitely going to be blessed by all her aunties.
Especially spoiled by her Grandma and Great-Grandma.
And Great- Great Aunts and Great-Aunts.
It was a fast paced time at home, but at least I got to see my family and will see most of them up at the lake again. I am especially excited for all the new books to read to little bean too. So much to look forward too.
Oh and it was so much cooler at night at home. In fact, I was freezing when I woke up and told Mom she had to shut the windows because it was so cold. I definitely slept better though, since it wasn’t unbearably hot. A nice change from back in the Inland Northwest.
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and hope you enjoy your week. I know I will 😉
There’ll be lots of sunshine and lake fun!!

Congratulations! The shower looks absolutely beautiful, as do you.
And you’ll love the Ironman. I have one, and we have put so many miles on it.

So sorry I couldn’t come! My mom said it was fun, even though she was only there a bit. I was hanging out on a combine. 🙂
I’m with you on the cooler nights – I’m back in Spokane and it didn’t get below 70 last night. Toooo hot, I say.

Looks like you had a wonderful baby shower!! You will enjoy your BOB Ironman, I have one and do majority of my runs with it every week. Just make sure the tires stay filled with air because it seems to feel so much heavier without the max air in the tires.

Thank you Kristie for the tips!! We can’t wait to test it (although I already have).
Kelsey, sorry we missed you!! But it’s hard with wheat needing to be cut. Hopefully it wasn’t too hot on the combine.
Thank you Kimberly for your kind words!! It was such a blessed day!!
