34 Weeks Bump Update

September 12, 2014 Bryanna

It’s crazy to think I only have 6 weeks until my due date. It’s relieving knowing that if baby were to come now, it wouldn’t be too risky and she would probably be in good health according to my doctor. Glad I have reached this point. Although, I would still love it if she decided to stay content in my womb for at least another couple of weeks.

As much as I can’t wait for her arrival (and to be done being pregnant), I feel like there is so much for me to do still, i.e. put up the crib and still get our bassinet!! This next week though Marc and I are going to start diving into baby preparation and hopefully after our anniversary get her room all finished.

I have a baby shower this weekend, and after that Marc and I can assess what we need to get and what we have. I do know she is set for the first 6 months in regards to clothes. Plus lots of great dresses for Spring time.

Bump Update

34 weeks bump

Symptoms: Still have the back pain, but my sciatic pain is not near as bad. I have been trying to be good about stretching. Pressure is still the same. I have to pee nearly every hour. I am super tired all the time too.

Baby size:  According to the quick ultrasound from yesterday to see if baby’s head was where it’s supposed to be, bean is now close to 4.5 pounds. She moves like crazy. She is sitting in a weird C shape though, and has moved from head down (from 32 weeks) to now head sideways. I know she has time to move, but it’s making me nervous.

Maternity clothes: Nothing new on this front. Still haven’t bought, nor wore any.

Stretch Marks: Still the same here….NONE!!

Belly Button: Outie

Sleep: Again feeling the same. I have had one or two nights of sound sleep in the past two weeks. I am going to try Melatonin (doctor said it’s safe) to see if this helps. One night I literally tried 2 couches, the guest bed and the rocking chair trying to find a comfortable position…..and nothing worked.

Cravings: I have been craving lots of chocolate lately, but I have actually been good about fighting the urge. I limit myself to a square of dark chocolate every couple of days. Also, craving cold beverages.

Food aversions: My appetite is very hit and miss. I find myself never feeling satisfied with what I pack for lunch or make for dinner. It’s hard eating large meals.

What I am missing: Bladder control, or at least not having to pee every hour. At least I don’t have to get up at night to pee (fingers crossed).

What I am most looking forward to: Baby bean!! And finishing the nursery.

What I’m Loving: Seeing baby girl move and getting packages in the mail for her.

Workouts: Running and doing my strength workout a couple times a week. I run roughly 5 – 10 miles, 5-6 days a week. I am sure the 10 mile runs will only be 8 mile runs soon, especially after our 1/2 marathon next weekend on our anniversary.

Can’t wait for my last shower on Sunday. It will be great having my parents in town too. I have been able to see them so much more this year with showers, my sisters baby and now my baby arriving soon.

Oh and I am basically almost done with my birth plan. At my next checkup in two weeks, I will have it all settled. It’s nice having a plan, but I still know that sometimes things don’t go according to plan.

Hope you all have a great weekend!!

What’s one thing you can’t live without for baby? Any products I have to have?

I don’t have any advice on baby products. Sorry. But, I love your recap of how you feel. It’s really interesting to hear. You and my sister… the only people who never had to buy maternity clothes. I think that’s my goal.
