Tuesday Morning Wake Up!!!!
Our deepest apologies for the lack of updates, writings….we’ve left you with blank spaces and empty emails. Maybe you enjoyed less spam from us….or maybe you were waiting in suspense or anticipation for our next post. Mariah and I have been busy with life and all that it contains. From family vacations, to solo trips for work or with spouses enjoying family.
Mariah was hiking in Grand Canyon and Zion National Park, while I was running a marathon and visiting family in Washington and Montana over a five week span. Much has seemed to have happened in our vacation from work and from the blog. Hopefully you didn’t miss us too much. It is nice to step back at times and reflect, enjoy family and just enjoy those great big mountains. We all know in Texas I, Bryanna, see very little of those.
So what’s new? Well, it seems much has changed in our lives. Lets start with Mariah, because her life is much more boring. 😉 I am kidding. She is gearing up for Nationals in Ohio in the Triathlon in a few weeks. I get the privilege of cheering her on and going with her. I cannot wait. It will be a fun sister trip, and I will only be traveling with one of my kiddos for a companion. Mariah has been working hard and doing her workouts. It has been fun coaching her.
She is still working as an attorney and enjoying it thoroughly. She even won her first case! Way to go Mariah!! Make sure you let her know how cool she is 😉 Mariah and her husband are still in California loving the sunshine, and she is still enjoying making all of my recipes and sharing those videos. She’s a great aunt and we loved being able to see her in the past month.
As for me. Well, much as changed. I have decided to throw another job into the mix as well. Why not add another part time gig. I shouldn’t call it a gig, as it will probably be more long term. Don’t worry, I won’t be giving up anything else…..I don’t know whether that is smart or insane. I will still continue to coach my clients privately, as well as coach cross country, as I love it. However, I did step down from my position as a track coach.
My new position is as an executive assistant with a non-profit based in WA working to fight for freedoms!! I am very thrilled and excited for this position, as I have always been in love with justice and government, and tend to let my opinions known when asked. Nutrition and health will always be a passion for me, and I will continue to share my tidbits and recipes, as well as coach clients. For me nutrition and coaching is more of a hobby I guess, and has never really seemed like work. When you love something so much it doesn’t feel like work.
I will spend some of my time still working for the charter school as needed as well in Texas, and work remotely as an executive assistant, while coaching. Who knows, maybe it will get my foot back in door over in the Northwest again. And I have taken on the challenge of homeschooling my oldest as well. She will be in kindergarten. So feel free to give me any of your home school tips! I will take all!
Recently I had another surgery to repair two hernias, and by recently I mean less than a week ago the day after we flew back into DFW. Because don’t most moms schedule a surgery the day after flying back home and a few days before their youngest child’s first birthday party?! Well you see, when you are a runner and the clock is ticking on marathon training beginning for a December race, and you can’t run for 2 weeks post surgery (or longer), you only have so many options! Duh! To say the least, it’s been difficult and hard with the kids, but my mom, older sister and husband have been amazing helping me!! Hope to be back at 100% soon!
I am hoping my new position won’t drag me away from the blog too much, but fear that my posts may be more spread out. I will have to be intentional with time, posts, and work. I have already begun my color coordinated planner….my OCD is frightening at times! Planners keep me organized and on task, and I tend to not forget about things like the fact I have children that need laundry done and meals (yes that is all added to my planner!).
And like that you’ve been updated….or at least you’ve got the short of it.
Summer is coming to a close, and I wish it was never ending. Maybe not the Texas heat, but we did escape that for the majority of the summer. Life moves quickly and I am amazed at how much things can change in a years time. Like for example my baby is now 1 years old and moving too fast to keep up with. Say WHAT? didn’t I just have her? Time is something I still haven’t learned to hold onto and make slow down…..and sadly I fear I will never master the craft.
Until Next Time Be Whole and Be Fit
